TRACKING DOWN THE HARDEST-TO-REACH SOFTWARE BUGS IN THE WORLD!

I started my journey as a Training Centre Specialist – working on courses and checking students’ assignments. After two years, I was given the opportunity to manage internal web projects and gladly accepted this new position. Now I have numerous projects of different levels of complexity, so it is never boring. My favourite part is collaborating with the team and feature owners and looking for effective solutions to complex problems. There are several development teams at QATestlab and together we communicate, learn, and implement new approaches to team planning and organisation. The Project Manager Competency Map and educational resources provided to us by more experienced colleagues are also very helpful.

The company has been operating in the global market for over 15 years now – it gives me confidence in my own future. With QATestLab, I took a new turn in my professional development, because I had never worked in this industry before. The projects are diverse, the team is open to new ideas, something which I really appreciate. I almost had no experience with SEO when I came on board, but I got an opportunity to learn more about it here. Everyone is open-minded and willing to help – I’ve been able to implement several interesting initiatives so far.

In three years at QATestLab, I have turned from a recent university graduate to a QA professional with a solid knowledge base. My mentors have always had my back, and even when I was in charge of several high-scale projects, the company supported my transition from manual testing to test automation. Besides, I really like that our daily meetings, retrospectives, and sprint planning with foreign customers have boosted my English speaking skills and helped me get to the upper-intermediate level.

My journey at QATestLab started when I passed their software testing course and got invited to become a lecturer. Now, I am a Team Lead of the QATestLab Training Centre. I am glad that I was entrusted to lead the team as now I can see the importance of our department for the overall success of the company. I also realise that every person is unique and it makes us special. The company helped me to gain self-confidence and faith that worthy goals and hard work help you achieve everything you desire – even if it takes time. One of the advantages of my job is the flexible working schedule.

The biggest advantage of working at QATestLab is the opportunities for career growth the company provides. In just a year and a half, I have managed to become the Recruitment Team Lead, share my expertise with three juniors, and take charge of one of the offices. I always feel that my work matters – I find QA rock stars with experience and vision able to drive the company forward.

QATestLab is my first experience of working in the IT industry. I have been here for more than three years and found great colleagues and great friends. Our team is very friendly and supportive. When I come to work every day, I really feel like part of something bigger. I am glad that I started my career path with QATestLab. 🙂

All the projects I have worked with at QATestLab are diverse, challenging, and multifaceted. I have become a “universal soldier” mastering different testing types, approaches, techniques, and creative problem-solving skills. I have also deepened my understanding of different methodologies, structures (Agile/Scrum/Kanban), and SDLC. At QATestLab, I have managed to advance in accomplishing my biggest goal which is to try everything in life. I not only develop my skills but also share my experience with others.

In six years at QATestLab, I have managed to become a good tech professional. After that, I was given an opportunity to try myself in a managerial position: from being a QA Lead to mentoring new employees and becoming the head of the office. This new challenge was crucial for me as I started to lose interest in my job and desperately wanted to try something new. In every difficult situation, there always have been more experienced colleagues willing to help. It is great that the company organises workshops on a regular basis that help me to develop my professional skills.
